MUAR: Little did Goh Soh Yang (pic) know when she was on her way to attend the birthday party of her friend's grandson on Thursday that her life would come to a crushing end.
The 51-year-old mother of five from Jalan Haji Abdullah in Sungai Abong had parked her car in the compound of a nearby factory as there was no parking space near her friend's house in Taman Orkid.
The factory owner, who had allowed her to park there, told her to close the iron gate before leaving.
She was found crushed to death by the gate yesterday.
A resident said a newspaper delivery boy saw Goh pinned under the gate at about 5am.
Goh’s husband, Tan Tian Seng, was informed of the incident at 7am.
Police have classified the case as sudden death.
