Accuser a varsity dropout

KUALA LUMPUR: The man who alleged he was sodomised by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a former student leader who recently quit his studies.

He was an office-holder in the university's student representative council for the 2006/2007 session.

However, the 23-year-old quit his studies after failing to make the grade.

The accuser is also said to have recently become engaged to a former college -mate.

Several postings on the Internet have also been attributed to him.
He said after achieving a grade point average of 1.69 in three semesters, he decided to quit university.

"My ambition is not to become a politician, as some of you may think but to become a pilot," he said in a blog posting.

He said he had been accepted into the Asia Pacific Flight Training school in Kota Baru and would graduate in December 2009.

He also denied online postings in which other students said he left university because he had political aspirations.

"For me, there is nothing wrong with making friends. I am the type of person who does not want to make enemies.

"The more people we know, whether a minister, an opposition leader, gangster or street sweeper -- someday, they may help us," he said in February.
