Stuck at parking lot

JANICE is unhappy with the parking management at the Jusco store in Wangsa Maju as she was stuck in the parking area because the cashier at the exit was absent. “I finished shopping at almost 11pm on Saturday and when I went to pay my parking ticket, there was no one at the parking counter.” “Although the store operates until 11 pm, the workers should have waited for all the customers to leave. They cannot expect the customers to finish shopping and settle everything by 11pm exactly,” she says.

She claims that there were other customers who were similarly affected. “Luckily, we met some security guards who helped lift the exit bar and allowed us to leave the parking area.

“It is dangerous for late shoppers, especially those with small children, to find themselves stuck in a situation like that. What would have happened if there had been no security guards around?” She hopes the management will take this incident into account as this is not the first time it has happened.

● AEON Co (M) Bhd assistant manager for public relations and corporate communications, Zaki Marhaini Mohd Said, says the company regrets the inconvenience caused during the Saturday incident.

“We would like to apologise to our customers and we will take the necessary action to ensure this does not happen again,” she says.
